What's the deadline to drop vs withdrawal?

SSU Students can drop via MySSU until the end of add/drop for each session. SSU students must drop before the first day of a class to get a full refund, and will receive a pro-rated refund until the end of add/drop.

Non-SSU/Open University Students must email SEIE at extendeded@sonoma.edu in order to drop a class. Non-SSU students may drop for a full refund until the end of add/drop for each session.

A drop request made after the end of add/drop and before the 60% point for your class will be considered a withdrawal. Beginning after add/drop, students must submit a petition to withdraw with a "W" before the 60% point and will not receive a refund.
