Winter Intersession Scholarships (For Current Students Only)

The School of Extended and International Education will be offering a limited number of need-based, $500 scholarships for Winter Intersession.

The Winter Intersession 2024 scholarship applications are now closed. Scholarship determinations will go out on Wednesday, November 28.

The Winter Intersession GPS Scholarship application is now closed. Late applications will not be accepted.

In order to be considered for a GPS Scholarship, you must:

  1. Be a matriculated, undergraduate SSU student in good academic standing
  2. Be enrolled in 3 or more units during Winter Intersession
  3. Have filed a FAFSA or a Dream Act Application with SSU for the 23-24 academic year

GPS Scholarships are limited each year, and all awards are conditional based on the availability of funds. All applicants will be considered, but not all eligible students will receive GPS Scholarship due to limited funds. GPS Scholarships apply only to Intersession 2024 per-unit fees and may not be used toward past debts, fall fees, parking fees, etc.

If you do not meet the criteria to be considered for a GPS Scholarship because you have not filed a FAFSA or completed a CA Dream Act application, and you believe you have an extenuating circumstance (such as international status or you qualify for a Veteran’s Fee Waiver), you may apply for an exception.

If you are applying for an exception, you will need to complete the GPS Scholarship Exception Application and complete the Exception Statement explaining your circumstance.

The Winter Intersession scholarship applications are now closed. Late applications will not be accepted.

Scholarship exceptions may be provided only if sufficient funding is available.
